Mechanism of Action:
Cardio selective beta-1 receptor blocker with rapid onset, a very short duration of action and no significant intrinsic sympathomimetic or membrane stabilizing activity at therapeutic dosages.

Indications:
- To terminate SVT.
- Episodic atrial fibrillation or flutter.
- Arrhythmia during anasthesia.
- To reduce HR and BP during and after surgery.
- In early treatment of myocardial infarction.
Drug Interactions:
Prevents the action of two naturally occuring substances: epinephrine and norepinephrine.
