Mechanism of Action:
Selective 5-HT receptor antagonist, blocking serotonin, both peripherally on vagal nerve terminals and centrally in the CNS chemoreceptor trigger zone.

Indications:
Treatment or prevention of nausea and vomiting.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Ondasetron, other selective 5-HT3 antagonists, or any component of the formulation.

Adult Dosage and Administration
4-8 mg IV or PO

Duration of Action
- Onset: ~30 minutes.
- Half-life elimination:
- Children <5 years: 2-3 hours.
