Mechanism of Action:
Inhibits electrolate reabsorption and promotes excretion of sodium, potassium, chloride.

Indications:
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
- Pulmonary edema
Contraindications:
- Hypovolemia
- Anuria
- Hypotension (relative contraindication)
- Hypersensitivity
- Hepatic coma
Adverse reactions:
May exacerbate hypovolemia, hypokalemia, ECG changes, dry mouth, hypochloremia, hyponatremia

Drug Interactions
- Lithium toxicity may be potentiated by sodium depletion.
- Digitalis toxicity may be pontetiated by potassium depletion.

0.5-1.0 mg/kg injected slowly IV (Medical Option Control)
